Start with two adjoining Colonial dwellings (respectively 17th and 18th century) located right in the “Pelourinho”, the historical quarter of Salvador da Bahia.
Add an exceptional host (Bruno Guinard: part anthropologist, part historian, part botanist and above all impassioned by Latin American culture,
arts and traditions), a pinch of architecture, a touch of decoration, a large helping of patience and let it simmer for 2 years to get : the Villa Bahia.
Products
- The health and beauty products in our spa and our bathrooms are natural and “ecologically correct”, from the Chama da Amazonia product line. They are made with strictly Brazilian essences, such as açaí, copaíba and cupuaçu.
- Our coffee (pure Arabica) is purchased directly from the plantation, permitting us to obtain coffee beans that are still green. They are then roasted and ground at the Villa Bahia. We work with 6 of Brazil’s best varieties, from 5 different regions : Bahia, Minas Gerais, Espirito Santo, São Paulo and Paraná.
